Update on Reagan- 4/23/08

Reagan had an appointment this morning in Chapel Hill to have her blood work checked.  Her counts are a little low from the increase in chemo.  The doctor decided not to adjust the dosage today.  We have to go back on May 6th for chemo treatment and spinal tap.  They will be able to check it again at that appointment and make any changes necessary.  She has been feeling good this week and hopefully that will continue.  Anytime her blood counts are low, she is at risk for infection- so we watch her closely for fever.

Reagan has an appointment next Thursday May 1st for a surgery consult at The Children's Hospital.  She has a birthmark that could possibility be cancerous later in life.  Given her current diagnosis of ALL, they have decided to remove it now.  I hate that she will have to go through the surgery, but I'm very thankful they are addressing it now.  I will update you on the actual surgery date next week.

 Reagan and her family would like for everyone to help in any way you can - be it donations to Make-A-Wish or volunteer your time in any of the upcoming events honoring Reagan. And they Thank You All from the bottom of their hearts. God Bless.
